What’s holding back your company’s innovation?
Is your organization struggling with finding a balance between executing the core business and pursuing innovation? If so, you’re not alone. At Twisthink, I hear from companies time and time again that, although they understand the need for innovation, it’s difficult to embed innovative thinking into their company’s culture and processes.
I recently had the opportunity to write about what’s holding organizations back when it comes to innovation for Crain’s Detroit Business Other Voices column. My message to the c-suite is this: If you want your organization to be innovative, you must make strategic decisions and investments that move the organization forward toward this mindset.
Through my first-hand experiences working with some of the region’s most innovative companies, I’ve seen that when the highest levels of an organization’s leadership are committed and invested in innovation, valuable new solutions are born. To learn more about creating an innovative culture, see the Crain’s column here: “For a company to innovate, the leader must lead.”
