Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development will play a key role in driving additional sales opportunities with new and existing customers. As part of a remarkable and collaborative team, this person will have the opportunity to create measurable strategies, build and nurture relationships with partners, and generate new leads. We’re looking for someone to represent the brand by connecting with new prospects through events, networking, outreach, and thought leadership. This role requires excellent communication skills, persistence, and motivation to sell high-end services for a relationship-driven business. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies that can be tracked and measured to analyze performance and drive decision making that align with our guiding company values – Courage, Excellence, Inclusion & Growth Mindset
  • Explore relationships with partners to find opportunities to co-sell services and/or generate referrals
  • Build the Twisthink brand through networking, outreach, and other creative approaches
  • Conduct discovery calls, tailoring the message to the value propositions that meets the prospects needs
  • Manage the sales process throughout all stages – helping accelerate time to close
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on campaign, strategy & execution
  • Contribute to strategic planning and discussions (including company vision & goals)
  • Ability to understand client business needs and establish strong working relationships
  • Driven to establish productive cross functional relationships with teammates during the sale & project execution phases
  • Passionate about creating a shared trust and respect for each of our practice areas
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic/conceptual level and at a detailed, operational level.
  • Action-oriented approach that fits well with the entrepreneurial, fast-paced culture
  • A passion for working through complex challenges and digital transformations
  • Excited and eager to learn about new strategy and technology solutions and be able to articulate those to prospective clients
  • Ability to travel on average once a month to support events and clients.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field (preferred)
  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience selling or working in consulting services or business professional services with project value of $100k+
  • Strong leadership skills, able to lead change, mentor and motivate individuals
  • Experience building and growing sales teams
  • Proven experience translating unique customer needs into impactful customer solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close deals within a complex sales cycle that can span 6-12 months +
  • Experience embracing a collaborative sales cycle
  • Proven leadership in the area of business development and sales – including shaping internal team and process
  • Driven to create, maintain and build strong relationships with existing customers that leads to additional growth
  • Strong interpersonal skills and maturity used to sell to executives and a diverse range of individuals
  • Persistence and motivation to sell high-end business services to multiple decision makers and expedite the typical long sales cycle
